Applying Flow Metrics for Scrum

A Professional Kanban training course created by ProKanban.org and the Professional Kanban Trainer Community.

The ProKanban.org mission is to support all Kanban practitioners (new or old) by providing a safe and inclusive forum to learn about Kanban.

"Learning how to use Flow Metrics in my team's Scrum events has unlocked so many new ways to help the team have the right conversations sooner and in turn get more valuable work to done."

Is your team answering the same three questions at the Daily Scrum but not seeing any work move?

Are you overcommitting to every Sprint and stuck with endless carry over? Do your retrospectives feel like the same conversations with little impact?

Then your Scrum Team needs Flow Metrics! In this course, you will learn how to leverage four simple data points to help your Scrum Team break the cycle of endless status and move towards informed decisions, accurate planning, and actionable improvements.

AFMS will teach you not only how to identify how much work to plan but also how to accurately forecast when individual work will be done in a Scrum Team’s context.

Level up your game with flow metrics and supercharge your Scrum!

AFMS class participants attempting the AFMS assessment within 14 days of the class and not scoring at least 85% will be granted a second attempt at no additional cost. Upon passing the assessment, you will receive the “Professional Flow Metrics for Scrum” (PFMS) certificate and will be issued credentials through Credly.

Bonus: Free assessment readiness call(s)!

Assessment preparation is not the main focus of our workshop. The workshop centers on attendees getting ready to apply new skills back at work and make a real impact in their teams and organizations immediately after the workshop. We value application over certification.

However, we understand that official knowledge verification can be very important to you. You’ve put in the effort to learn new skills, invested your time and money, so you deserve your badge/certificate accordingly. That is the reason why we want to help you with it.

After the workshop, you will receive materials and recommendations for independent preparation for the exam. Additionally, we offer you free group sessions (usually 7-10 days after the end of the workshop) on the topic of exam preparation. We will be there to answer all your questions, resolve your doubts, and re-explain some concepts if necessary.

Your success is our success. We are here to support your journey!

Bonus: Free consulting and implementation call!

After our training, you will be able to radically improve the way you perform your work and bring tremendous value to your teams and organizations.

We will be available to assist you: 3 months after the conclusion of the training, you will have the opportunity to participate in a complimentary consulting session tailored to your needs and context.

You may bring specific questions and topics, and we will ensure to address all your concerns and aid you in overcoming potential challenges.
